Cillian Murphy Drives Classy Not Flashy Cars

Cillian Murphy might steal your hearts by playing the role of a stylish and ruthless gangster but the cars he drives state that he is a very simple human being. He mostly opts for classy and practical rides without any hint of extravagance. Every car he owns reflects that they are used for commuting and not to grab extra attention on the road or increase the number of followers on social media. 

6. 2001 Audi A4 B6

The oldest car from Cillian Murphy's garage is the Audi A4 which he bought much before he became one of the biggest names in Hollywood. This 2001 Audi is the cheapest car in his garage and its power output is the lowest among his cars. There are no flashy features and no outstanding quality in this car to bring big bucks from an auction. 

However, that is not the reason Cillian still owns this car. The Silver A4 used to be his daily driver and was of utmost utility to the actor. He still takes it out on several occasions, specifically when he is traveling and not attending any event or shoot. The Audi A4 B6 proves how simple a life Cillian leads. 

5. 2014 Audi Q7

Shifting the tone from ordinary to a bit classy and luxury SUV, the Q7 is another Audi from Cillian Murphy’s car collection. He bought the car while he was shooting for the second season of his BBC TV Series “Peaky Blinder”. The show has been a great success and it wouldn’t be too out-of-character for him to buy a brand-new car to celebrate the success. 

Although we have never seen Cillian leading an extravagant lifestyle, he was seen attending a few promotional events in his Audi Q7. The 2014 SUV does not offer an uber-luxury comfort nor does it have a power-packed engine. Regardless, it is enough for the Irish actor. 

4. 2016 Lexus RX 450h

A few years later, the on-screen Oppenheimer opted for a hybrid crossover. The Lexus RX 450h is the only hybrid in his garage and he uses it for both leisure and professional purposes. The 2016 Lexus offers enough power and luxury aspects but Cillian favors it mainly for its practicality. 

The RX 450h is a classy 5-seater that doesn’t need exaggerated luxury and the overall performance combined with the safety levels have qualified it to be the actor’s daily commute. The white hybrid crossover is an affordable option for standard customers proving that a Hollywood A-lister doesn’t always need a flashy car. 

3. 2011 Audi A8L

The A8L is enough evidence that Cillian Murphy is lenient towards the German manufacturer as this is his third Audi on this list. The actor from Inception got this luxury sedan around 2011 and while he usually goes for a white or silver exterior, the Audi A8L is the only black car he owns. 

Cillian has been seen arriving at multiple post-production events in his black Audi. One of the most prominent sightings of the actor with his A8L was in Berlin, Germany in 2014. Cillian Murphy was attending the premier of his movie “Aloft” from the same year at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival. 

2. 2012 Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Another luxury sedan in Cillian Murphy’s list of classy vehicles is the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The actor bought the S 350 in 2012 and the Merc is a symbol of both class and comfort. Quick acceleration and athletic feel are two USPs for the S-Class but Cillian is always calm and composed when he is behind the wheel. 

There have been so many excellent performances from the Irish actor but the role that peaked his popularity is “Thomas Shelby” from the show “Peaky Blinders”. Cillian has often been seen arriving at the sets of this show fully dressed in “Tommy Shelby” attire and we have often wondered, which one is classier - his character or his drive?

1. 2015 Porsche 911 Carrera S

The final piece of the puzzle (at least for now) in Cillian’s garage is a Porsche. Although it feels a bit uncharacteristic for him, he does own a 911 Carrera S. The “Dark Knight Trilogy” actor bought the sports coupe around 2015 but has rarely been seen taking it out for a spin. 

In fact, there has been only one occasion when Murphy was photographed outside posing with the white Porsche alongside his children. This proves that the 911, despite offering a thrilling driving experience, is not among his favorite cars. Cillian Murphy’s simple lifestyle is reflected in the cars he drives.
