Shelton hails from Ada, Oklahoma, he was born to Richard Lee Shelton, a car salesman while his mother was a beauty salon owner. He started singing at the early age of 12 and was taught to play guitar by his uncle. He had written his first song by the age of 15, and stepping a year ahead he received a Denbo Diamond Award in his home state. Shelton made his debut in 2001 with the single “Austin” from his first album, and it stayed on the Billboards Hot Country Songs Chart for five weeks. His second and third albums namely ‘The Dreamer’, and ‘Barn and Grill’ are gold and platinum respectively. With these and several other albums, Shelton has managed to make a special place in the hearts of country music fans, he also has a love for tough and rugged vehicles, which earns him a badge for being a Country Music lover himself.
