Tiger Woods' Is Addicted To Crashing Cars

As the former face of Buick, Tiger Woods brought in a lot of cash for the company. As a result, he was given several luxury cars including two concept models from the Buick. Furthermore, he has crashed a number of his automobiles in various circumstances as well.

10. Buick LaCrosse

As the pitchman for Buick, Tiger Woods helped in launching several vehicles of the General Motors subsidiary. He appeared in a 2005 commercial in which Woods is escaping the Paparazzi with the quick-running LaCarosse which had a black exterior. 

Although Tiger did help in selling the LaCrosse model, it is yet to be confirmed if he still owns the car in his garage. He might have traded it with some other fancy car. After all, with a net worth of $1.3 billion, Tiger Woods can have all the luxury of the world.

9. 2006 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren

The temptation to own a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is not something even the likes of Tiger Wood can resist. After all, it is a rare piece of engineering produced with the collaboration of two seasoned automotive manufacturing giants. That said, the image used above was taken and posted by a fan of Tiger Woods when he visited the dealership.

Nearly 2,150 units of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. If we exclude the one in the Tiger Woods car collection, we believe the rest are in Manny Khoshbin’s garage. LOL. That said, according to the MBWorld forum, Tiger Woods who is also an inductee of the World Golf Hall of Fame, bought the car in October 2005.

8. 2009 Lexus LS 460

Tiger Woods and Buick ended their partnership  “amicably” in 2009. The same year Lexus was sponsoring the US Open. It is likely Woods was looking for a new endorsement deal with Lexus that he decided to get himself a Lexus LS 460 and show it off. 

Woods drove Buick for many years and continued even after his contract termination. However, even after displaying his Lexus to the world, he didn’t get the sponsorship.

7. 2009 Cadillac Escalade

It was spacious, big, comfortable, and a perfect ride for Tiger Woods to go around golfing events before he ended up crashing it on the 2009 Thanksgiving night giving him a loss of around $8,000 in damages.

Tiger Woods' Cadillac Escalade was the first car that started the whole accident chain reaction throughout his career. Back in 2009, Woods crashed his Escalade into a 1997 Chevy Blazer coming off from the opposite end. While the car was thrashed, the golfer came out of the accident with just scratches only. He received a $164 traffic fine and four points on his driver’s license after the accident, according to the New York Post.

6. 2015 Mercedes-Benz AMG S65

In 2017, Tiger Woods was driving the Mercedes Benz AMG S65 when he was caught driving under the influence. Cops caught him when his car was already stopped. However, the AMG S65 had already taken some damage from the front. Yet another car Tiger Woods ended up ruining.

Tiger Woods is not known for customizing his cars. Hence, it is likely that his Mercedes Benz AMG S65 sedan is still with the factory specs which include 20-inch alloy wheels. 

5. 2021 Genesis GV80

Tiger might have all the luck in his golfing career but not with cars or with the car journey experience. He has been involved in several accident-prone situations but not quite as serious as the one that happened back in February 2021. It was supposed to be a good year as he then recently bought a new car - a 2021 Genesis GV80 which he eventually crashed hard. Thankfully, the SUV’s safety features and design saved his life, according to Arirang News.

Lightning struck on February 23, 2021, when Woods was cruising on a highway on a freeway in California and suddenly lost control of his SUV. The GV80 flipped multiple times properly destroying the front of the car while Tiger was lucky to be alive and came out cheating death with the cost of some serious injuries.

4. 2001 Buick Bengal

From time to time, Buick has stepped up its game to come up with a few concept cars that would get anybody's adrenaline rushing. Back in 2001, Buick unveiled its Bengal model at the 2001 Chicago Auto Show. Mr. Woods is the only individual to own the Buick Bengal as a concept model since it never made it to the production stage.

The Buick Bengal was made and came into reality whose influence was none other than the face of Buick, Tiger Woods himself. Tiger was seen on many photoshoots and apparently was gifted with a Bengal model considering being the ambassador at that time. The "AutoWeek" magazine even covered the car with a killer headline - "Dead Solid Perfect".

3. 2004 Buick Velite

The partnership between Buick and Tiger lasted for quite some time and guess what, he had the chance to get another Buick concept car in his name - the 2004 Buick Velite Roadster. The car debuted back in 2004 at the New York International Auto Show.

The Roadster had a sleek and clean design with a very distinctive grille design that made some noise in the automotive industry, especially among car enthusiasts. However, the buzz and curiosity weren't enough and never made it to the production chain.

2. Lamborghini Murcielago

Tiger Woods’ garage has an orange-colored Lamborghini Murcielago, according to Hot Cars and other sources. It is alleged that it was his dream car which is easy to believe because from teenagers to adults, everyone was crazy about Murcielago when it came out.

There have been some rumors around that he never drove the car. Well, considering what happened with his Carrera GT, we don’t find it surprising. 

1. Porsche Carrera GT

The most expensive car in Tiger Woods’ car collection was the Porsche Carrera GT. He did buy the car but ended up returning it after it spun off into the grass near his home. Later, he sends the car back to the dealership.

Do you know what Doug DeMuro, Horacio Pagani, Ralph Lauren, and many known businessmen and celebs’ car collections have in common with Tiger Woods' car collection? It's the Porsche Carrera GT. However, unlike these, who can handle the ferrous Carrera GT, Tiger Woods couldn’t afford to own a car that fast which he could not control. After all, given his accident and crash history, we don’t think he would like to keep the car that killed Paul Walker.

Tiger Woods was the face of Buick for many years. He was also the one who launched the then-new Enclave when it came out. It is alleged that he owns one Enclave model as well. However, it is yet to be confirmed. 

1. Buick Rendezvous

Tiger Woods was heavily involved with the launch of the Buick Rendezvous SUV which resulted in a higher number of sales than the company predicted. Hence, there is no reason to not believe that Buick gave one model to its ambassador after such success.
