Amazon MGM Takes The Wheel: A New Era For James Bond Begins

In a shocking announcement about the franchise of 007, James Bond is taken over by the Amazon MGM Studios. The producers of James Bond, Michael G. Wilson, and Barbara Broccoli, step back from the creative rights of the iconic James Bond franchise. The fans are shocked by the announcement. The two producers will remain the same with a joint venture, but the creative rights will be handled by Amazon Prime Video.

In a shocking agreement that shocked Hollywood, as the James Bond franchise is being taken over by the amazon MGM studios. Since its theoretical release 60 years ago, it's been one of the most iconic characters since then. Amazon bought MGM for $8.5 billion in 2021, and now bought the creative rights for the distribution of James Bond movies. Future plans of both the producers 

The two producers have different plans for the future. Wilson, who had also co-written some of the James Bond movies, has announced his retirement from Hollywood producing. With my 007 career spanning nearly 60 incredible years, I am stepping back from producing the James Bond films to focus on art and charitable projects,” the 87-year-old said in a statement.

Broccoli, who is 60 years old, will continue working as a producer. She told the press that after giving 60 years to the James Bond franchise, she wanted to focus on somewhere else. She also stated that the franchise is being handed to us by my father, Albert R. Broccoli. I have been delighted and dedicated to the James Bond franchise, but now it's time to focus on some other things as well. Micheal is also retiring from Hollywood, so I think it's the right time to step back from the role of producer of the James Bond franchise.

Replacement of Craig

No Time to Die, the last released movie of the James Bond series, was also the fifth and final turn of Daniel Craig's character as James Bond released in 2021. The movie earned approximately $775 million to date. Since then, no official announcement has been made for the production of a new James Bond movie or the replacement of Daniel Craig.
