Best known for winning 17 Grammy Awards for hits like If I Ever Lose My Faith in You and Every Breath You Take, this British singer has achieved global fame in the pop industry. While his timeless music continues to captivate audiences, what many don’t realize is that he also has a passion for equally classy cars.

Recognized worldwide by his stage name, Sting, the legendary artist was born Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner and is now in his 70s. With a net worth exceeding $400 million, Sting’s car collection may not be vast, but it can be compared to that of Paul McCartney—an artist he has openly admired—sharing a similar taste for vintage classics.

Let’s take a closer look at these beauties and the fascinating stories behind them.

4. 2016 Fiat 124 Spider

One of the rare times Sting has shared a glimpse of his car collection was in 2020 when he posted a picture of himself sitting inside a Fiat 124 Spider. Flashing a wide smile, the Grammy-winning singer gave fans a look at his latest ride.

In another post from 2018, the caption referenced to his collaboration with Shaggy, Gotta Get Back My Baby, in which the Abarth 124 Spider made an appearance.

Sting has often been seen driving a Cadillac Escalade, a stark contrast to the compact European cars he grew up around. The black SUV has been his go-to ride in the U.S., where he once owned a 5,400-square-foot property in New York’s Central Park West, purchased for $26.8 million in 2008 and sold for $50 million in 2017.

2. 1967 MGB GT

A photograph from 1978 captures a young Sting in London, proudly posing with his MGB GT, keys in hand. The excitement on his face is evident, highlighting his love for the classic British sports car. Given his English roots, owning this vintage beauty likely carried special significance for him.

Another renowned English personality Richard Hammond—a journalist who co-hosted Top Gear from 2002 to 2015 alongside Jeremy Clarkson and James May—also boasts this iconic, unique MGB GT in his collection.

1. 2004 Mercedes-Benz S-Class

During his 2004 tour in Berlin to promote his autobiography, Broken Music, and his album Sacred Love, Sting was spotted stepping out of a Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

Years later, in 2017, he was once again spotted with another Mercedes-Benz S-Class in Lithuania, ahead of his performance in Kaunas.
