Nicolas Cage’s Lamborghini Miura P400 SVJ is one of the few cars that the actor currently owns and arguably his favorite in his collection. Cage’s Miura SVJ has a rich and interesting story and great historical significance about its legacy.

Cage’s Miura (chassis no - #4934) was the first SVJ model that was converted for the Shah Of Iran - Mohammad Pahlavi. He only drove the car once in Switzerland before losing interest in it. After 1995, the car was sold to a businessman in Dubai which later resurfaced in March 1997 at a Brooks auction in Geneva where Mr. Cage bought it for $497,500. The car was later sold to an English collector with less than 3000 miles on the odometer.

Nic was always a sucker for vintage cars and had several top-of-the-line exclusive coupes in his multi-million dollar car collection including the 1954 Bugatti Type 101C Antem Coupe. Featuring the Antem design coachwork, Cage’s Type 101 was one of only six models to ever come out of Bugattis production line.

The “Ghost Rider” actor bought his Type 101 around 2000 during the shoot for his film “Gone In Sixty Seconds”. Nicolas put the car up for auction back on September 15, 2015, at Bonhams Chantilly Sale in France.

The thieves added an extra 100 miles to its original 150-mile run before dumping the car into a 12-foot-deep lake.

The restoration of the car added an extra 250 miles to the odometer and it was later sold on October 10/13, 2008 at the Scottsdale Fall Barret-Jackson auction in Las Vegas. The car caught a lot of attention even back in the time it was stolen as major publications like “Playboy” and “People” covered the story.
