9. Ford GT Gulf Limited Edition

In his Top Gear interview, Horacio confirmed that he owned the Ford GT Gulf Limited Edition. The claim was again proven to be true in a 2020 video posted by Pagani Automobili’s YouTube channel.

In the video, Horacio is sitting with his back facing the Ford GT Gulf Limited Edition and talking about “the impact of the American car culture” on him.

Pagani has always talked passionately about the original Ford GT40. He is impressed by the car’s design and the purpose for which it was built. Basically, to defeat Ferrari. That being said, Horacio doesn’t own the GT40 model but he does have a modern version of it in the form of the Ford GT Gulf Edition which has Gulf Oil-inspired livery.

8. Porsche 935

Horacio is a Porsche enthusiast as he has repeatedly expressed his linking to cars from the German brand. His favorite car is the 917 model. However, as per his interview with Robb Report, he doesn’t own one. However, the Horacio Pagani car collection does include the Porsche 935 (Type 991, Gen. 2) model to compensate for the space for the 917.

7. The Custom Mustang “Eleanor”

In a YouTube video titled “The Impact of the American Car Culture on Horacio Pagani” posted by Pagani Automobili, Horacio can be seen sitting in front of his GT Gulf Edition and another gray-colored car which appears to be the rather infamous “Eleanor”, the custom Mustang from the “Gone in 60 Seconds” (2000) film. However, we can’t confirm whether it is the same model or not. That being said, the following table highlights the specs of the regular 1967 Shelby GT500.

In 2017, at the Porsche Festival at Autodromo Marco Simoncelli, Horacio showed up with his family members and a couple of Porsches. He also brought his beloved silver Carrera GT with him. According to The Supercar Blog, Pagani’s Carrera GT doesn’t have factory specs as it has been customized. Now it is the ‘Carrera GTZ by Zagato’. Reportedly, only six such models were made. However, this customization is yet to be confirmed by Horacio himself.

As a child, Horacio found the E-Type highly interesting. In a YouTube video interview with the Pagani Automobili channel, Horacio takes us down memory lane. He talks about how in his childhood a wealthy gentleman used to possess this car and frequented his neighborhood.

Pagani would follow that vehicle to the parking lot where the car was kept just to get a look at it. Even Enzo Ferrari once said that the Jaguar E-Type is the prettiest-looking car of all time.

He has been spotted driving this car more often than others from his garage. Having said that, the base price of the Ferrari F12tdf (tour de France) was around $621,000.

That said, Horacio's Ferrari is one of 799 F12tdf units that were meant for global sale.

Pagani Collection

Horacio's company has made numerous high-performance cars since its establishment in the late 1990s. He has kept some of the models for himself but the Pagani car collection is dominated by Zonda models.

8. Pagani Zonda S 7.3

The Zonda S 7.3 is one of the early models in Horacio’s personal collection of Pagani cars. In 2014, he rode with a representative of Carfection (formerly known as XCar) from YouTube. During the video, Horacio explained how one doesn’t need to be a hero to drive the Zonda S 7.3. However, he did add that something along the lines that being a skilled driver would help.

7. Pagani Zonda F

The Pagani Zonda ‘F’ was dedicated to Juan Manuel Fangio. He was a legendary Argentine racing driver and Horacio Pagani’s mentor. Pagani wanted the car to be as light as possible. As a result, it ended up establishing a record in 2007 on the Nürburgring race track.

6. Pagani Zonda Cinque

The Pagani Zonda Cinque was a road-legal love child of the Zonda R and the Zonda F. The Zonda Cinque project started as a request from a Hong Kong customer, Pagani claims. In total, only five such models were produced, one of which sits in Horacio’s car collection. According to reports, the car sits in the Pagani Museum in San Cesario sul Panaro with many other models produced by the company.

Horacio Pagani who is famously called the “renaissance man” claims that the initial Zonda model was “inspired by the track cars of the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s”. Hence, it is likely that even in Zonda Clique's case, Pagani improved the mechanical hardware and design while drawing inspiration from older race cars.

5. Pagani Zonda R

The Zonda R established several records including the Nürburgring lap record of 6 minutes 47 seconds. According to Horacio, the Zonda R is “not merely a track car”. He adds “For Pagani, it represents an important laboratory for new materials and technologies, and also aerodynamic research.”

Including the later Zonda Revolućion iterations, only 15 Zonda R models came out of the Pagani factory. When it was launched in 2009, the Pagani Zonda R had a starting price of around $1.5 million.
