Inside Two-Time F1 Grand Prix Champion George Russell's Car Collection

Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team racer George Russell, who recently got fined for aborted start chaos in the Brazilian GP alongside Norris has a distinctive taste in cars. His car collection lineup boasts a total of 6 vehicles and most of them are sports coupes while a few feature his thoughts on practicality and love for classic cars. While the prodigal son gained worldwide attention for his performance in the Sakhir Grand Prix, his garage attracts the eyes of even non-motorheads. 

6. 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280SL

People often think F1 drivers don’t have the patience or knowledge to appreciate classic cars from the '60s or '70s. Well, George Russell is an exception and that can be witnessed through his early ‘70s Mercedes model from the infamous “Pagoda” line of SLs - the M-Benz 280SL.

George recently showcased his 280SL this year in August as reporters caught him and his girlfriend Carmen Montero Mundt cruising through Casino Square in Monaco. Later we saw the couple entering a hotel after Russell handed the keys to the valet and shook his hand being the gentleman he is. 

5. 2022 Mercedes-AMG G63

It doesn’t matter if you’re an actor or a Formula One racecar driver, very few people can deny the urge to buy the AMG G  Wagon and from the looks of it, George couldn’t either. He owns a G63 featuring a slate-gray paint job with tinted windows.

Although we haven't seen the two-time Formula One Grands Prix winner drive his G Wagon on any occasion, George made sure to show off his Mercedes SUV to his fans with an Instagram post posing with the car and a caption saying, “G²”.

4. Mercedes-AMG C63

George Russell’s car collection features the Mercedes-AMG C63 which is also one of his oldest purchases after getting famous in the racing world. Although George doesn’t love the ride quality of the vehicle, the tremendously agile handling makes up for it. 

His blue Mercedes-AMG C63 has been spotted multiple times on various social media platforms where the F1 Grad Prix driver was seen cleaning and taking care of his machines on his own. 

3. Mercedes-AMG C63 S

The next one on the list is a fun-driving coupe that George fell in love with back in the day. On top of that, being an F1 driver, George is very meticulous about a car’s handling capabilities and the razor-sharp handling prowess of the C63 S makes the car one of his favorite ones.

The White Mercedes-AMG C63 S made a number of appearances and the most memorable one was that shows George washing the car with his pressure washer. The caption on the picture stamps his love for the car which states, “Take care of the things you love 🤍 @mercedesamg”.

2. 2022 Mercedes-AMG SL63

George’s AMG lineup can be described as a fascination since the British F1 driver races for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team. His Mercedes-AMG SL63 is the only convertible in his car collection and often takes it out for a drive or a photo shoot for his social media posts.

Back in December 2023, George stepped out of his residence and went out for a quality time cruising around the mountains in his white Mercedes-AMG SL63 with his girlfriend. He even posted a picture of him posing with the car with a caption stating, “Chasing sunsets 🌅🏔️”

1. Mercedes-AMG GT S Coupe

Another Sports coupe in Russell’s AMG lineup is the Mercedes-AMG GT S Coupe that he probably bought back in 2020. Created in the company’s speed shop as an answer to the Porsche 911 lineup, the car cost him around $132,400. 

This car is Russel’s favorite car and that can be witnessed through his multiple posts on Instagram posing with the car with one post saying “Love at first sight ♥️ #MercedesAMG” back in 2020 while another one a year later saying “Love my little rocket! Big week ahead.... excited!!”. 

There have been reports of George Russell owing a Bentley Bentayga, a Ferrari 812, and a McLaren GT, however, neither images nor any other supporting evidence have surfaced to authenticate those claims. These posts suggest both the credibility of other reports unlike ours and the popularity of the man involved in these claims.
