Frank Ocean's Car Collection Boasts Several BMWs And A Few Sports Cars

7. BMW 550i

The BMW 550i was Frank Ocean’s first-ever car that he bought with his music earnings. This began his journey towards collecting more and becoming a well-known personality in the automotive world.

In one of the interviews with Garageisme, where Frank talked about his life with cars he mentioned that the 550i is his third favorite BMW. Beyond that, the rapper has not revealed any more of his experience with the car.

6. BMW E90 M3

The E90 M3 is another of the old-school BMWs that Frank has in his collection. In an interview with Garageisme, the rapper addressed the M3 as his best-handling car.

In that interview, Frank also expressed his desire to customize the E90. He later also revealed the details about his customization which included an engine swap for the vehicle. Additionally, the rapper also mentioned the other tweaks, he intended for the E90 M3.

5. BMW M5

The BMW M5 is the nicest BMW in his collection, Frank mentioned in an interview. It is also the newest addition to his wonderful collection. And the rapper has also shown off his M5, by once posting images of it on Instagram.

Frank’s BMW comes with a blacked-out exterior, and from the images that he once posted it also looks like that the rapper has also heavily customized the car, just like many of his other BMWs.

4. 2017 Tesla Model X

Frank Ocean purchased the Tesla Model X back in 2016, and it ranks among his favorite cars. He also previously used the electric car as his daily driver as well. However, he has never posted any pictures of it or shared any moments of him with the car.

According to the New York Times, the rapper was spotted in 2016, heading towards his parked Model X, after coming out of a hotel in New York.

3. BMW M3 E30

The BMW M3 E30 is arguably the most popular car in Frank Ocean’s car collection. His famous album “Nostalgia Ultra” features a similar Tangerine M3 E30 on its cover. Paying homage, Frank got his hands on a M3 E30.

Later on, Frank Ocean got his M3 E30 modified and also changed its color to match it with the one on his “Nostalgia Ultra” cover. Aside from that, the rapper also once showed off his and Tyler The Creator’s bimmer standing side by side on one of his Instagram posts.

2. Porsche 911 GT3 (991)

Frank Ocean also owns a Porsche 911 GT3, which is one of the least talked about cars in his collection. Despite this, the rapper is a big fan of the Porsche 911 so much so that he even references the car’s name in his song “Unity”.

In 2023, an unidentified person posted an image of Frank wearing a pink t-shirt, posing in front of his 911. However, the image was deleted minutes later, preserving the mystery behind the 911 GT3.

1. McLaren 675LT

One of the McLarens in Frank Ocean's car collection is the grey 2016 McLaren 675LT, with which the rapper has been spotted driving around the town multiple times.

It also happens to be one of the most expensive cars in his garage, coming with a price tag of $349,000. And even though Frank has been spotted a couple of times with his McLaren 675 LT, there is little to no information available on it. 

Special Mention: Mercedes-Benz e-Bike

Frank Ocean was once spotted riding the n+ Mercedes Benz EQ Formula E Team Silver Arrows eBike, a sleek, high-performance machine priced at $4,500. This isn’t just any e-bike; it’s a speed demon with dual batteries, lightweight aluminum framing, and a futuristic silver finish that turns heads as he rides through NYC. 
Frank’s love for unique bikes goes way back, from his classic VanMoof S3 to vintage Klein MTB rides, he blends fashion and functionality, making every ride a memorable style statement.

Previously Owned Cars

Frank’s first car was a stick-shift Acura Integra with no AC and tinted windows. While far from luxurious, it was memorable. The singer thinks its "mail-order" vibe and loud exhaust were hallmarks of a humble beginning. He had a misfortune with the Integra and it went into the water. He had to leave the car there and after he came back, Ocean found a few parts of the Acura were stolen. Ocean recalls upgrading from a Honda Civic to a Nissan Maxima, a quicker and more sophisticated car at the time. The Civic was a gift from his mother and she also helped Frank buy the Maxima.

Frank Ocean’s Bucket List

In an interview, Frank revealed that he wishes to buy a few more cars, probably high-performance and international makes. The list includes Nissan R34 Skyline, Porsche 911 Turbo, Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM, and Porsche Cayenne Turbo. When it comes to SUVs, he leans towards the Cayenne Turbo for its tech and handling, though he respects the Mercedes G-Wagon’s heritage. He thinks the GMC Hummer is also a good option for him but only if it has a lot of modern tech while keeping its original form.
