O’Brien started his journey as a TV writer before moving in front of the camera to become a TV talk show host. Brien wrote for Saturday Night Live and Simpsons before he got selected for taking over David Letterman’s position as host of Late Night in 1993, and as of 2023 he has also set the record for being the longest-serving host ever since the beginning of the show.
