Jerry Seinfeld’s Porsche Collection Shrinks After 16 Of Them Were Sold For Over 22 Million Dollars

Jerry Seinfeld is an American comedian, stand-up artist, writer, producer, and actor. The comedian has a huge collection of 150 cars and 46 of them are iconic Porsche models, and all these 150 cars have an estimated worth ranging from $75 million to $100 million.

Among his cars, his Porsche collection is more famous, as he once owned around 80 units from the Stuttgart manufacturer. Even now, he still owns at least 30 Porsche cars in his massive car collection while the rest of the 16 Porsche models have been sold for a staggering $22,244,500 At Gooding Amelia Auction back in 2016.

37. 1998 Porsche 993 (Last air-cooled 911)

Seinfeld bought the very last production air-cooled Porsche—a 993 Carrera 4S in Mexico Blue—in 1998. The car also boasts just 26K miles plus tons of documentation and service history, but so what? Low-mileage, pampered 911s are a dime a dozen. Even the “one owner” isn’t anything to write home about.

The 993, the version of the 911 built from 1994-98, is arguably the prettiest generation of Germany’s sports car. The changes from previous 911s were numerous and extensive, and one particularly relevant to Seinfeld’s car is the layout of the popular Targa model. Whereas previous 911 Targas had a removable, stowable center roof section, the 993 Targa introduced a power-retractable glass roof.

36. 1996 Porsche 911 Targa

Seinfeld bought the Targa and checked quite a few option boxes when he ordered this 911 Targa. He specified sporty things like stainless steel oval exhaust pipes and the "engine sound package," which included a modified airbox. The car also featured the available limited-slip differential and what Porsche called the "automatic brake differential," which was a form of traction control that used anti-lock brakes to slow a slipping wheel.

Seinfeld also ordered quite a few technical upgrades, including cruise control. The car received a Becker cassette stereo and a six-disc CD changer, which hides under the hood. He also got upgrades for the amp and speakers. The optional on-board computer is quaint by modern standards, with a display below the tachometer offering outside temperature, a digital speedometer, a trim odometer, average speed, average mpg, and distance to next fill-up functions.

35. 1993 Porsche 964 Carrera RSR 3.8

The air-cooled Porsche 911 market has been in the spotlight for many years but over the last decade its market exploded with absurd auction prices. Additionally, the Stuttgart-made special editions with micro mileage run are the crown jewels of these models. And, one of those special cars was Jerry Seinfeld's 1993 Porsche 964 Carrera RSR 3.8 which got sold for a whopping $2.25 million back in 2017 at the RM Sotheby's Villa Erba event. 

Other than the car's 350-hp Flat-6 and its stunning aluminum bodywork Jerry's 964 Carrera RSR 3.8 ran for only 6 miles which is extremely rare for an air-cooled Carrera RSR. 

34. 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS

Those who truly understand the value of structural supremacy and the heritage that comes with vintage car models know how important it is to keep those values alive. One of those stories belongs to Seinfeld's 911 Carrera RS. Back in 2014 when Jerry was doing his morning workouts on the streets of Hamptons, a middle-aged lady smashed her BMW into Jerry's Carrera RS totally damaging his precious Porsche.

Built for only 1,580 units ever, Seinfeld's Carrera RS had a 210-hp Flat-6 while the ducktail spoiler elevated the car's overall performance. In an interview with New York Newspaper, Jerry said, “Ask anyone who has ever driven one of these and they will tell you the same thing. There is something about this car that feels perfect”.

33. 1970 Porsche 911 S ‘Henri’

Jerry Seinfeld became famous as a comedian and later all that fame worked in his favor while running his own show named Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee. The comedian has hosted numerous famous people over the years and had some great episodes while taking them for a ride in one of his many cars. Jerry's Porsche collection was somewhat revealed during these episodes and one of them was the 1970 Porsche 911 S ‘Henri’.

Seinfeld's 911 Henri was featured in the 9th episode of season 1 while featuring Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks. Jerry took Carl in his Metallic Emerald Green 911 Porsche while talking about their career, cars, and life in general. 

32. 1964 Porsche Carrera 904 GTS

In the world of racing, probably the most revolutionary move was to incorporate a fiberglass body into the chassis ensuring structural rigidity. For Porsche, the Carrera 904 GTS was the first-ever model to utilize a fiberglass body which not only reduced the weight of the vehicle but also increased the structural rigidity of the car. All of these implementations came in handy back in 1964 when competing in the FIA-GT class racing. 

Seinfeld's Carrera 904 GTS comes with a Silver alloy exterior paint job and Yellow badging for the model name. A YouTuber named Tim was doing his everyday Malibu vlog when he spotted Seinfeld's Carrera 904 GTS parked beside a cafeteria. 

31. 1952 Porsche 356 America Roadster

When two hard-headed automotive nuts meet at a classic car roadshow it definitely heats up the air in the place especially when those two names involved are Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno. Back in July 2022, Jay and Jerry met at a classic car road show in Malibu Country Mart where Seinfeld rode his rare Steel Blue 1952 Porsche 356 America Roadster. To make it more interesting, currently, there are only 11 of these America Roadsters exist making Jerry's open-top enthusiast-focused Porsche a rare delicacy. 

Jerry's 356 America Roadster even became an inspiration for the 2022 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabrio American Edition. Although this ultra-limited-edition is a lifetime opportunity, there's something charismatic about Jerry's 52 America Roadster.

30. 1968 Porsche 907K

Whenever we talk about brands like Ferrari and Porsche the first thing that automatically comes to mind is 24 Hours of Le Mans. Porsche has been going a big time at the Le Mans for a very long time and established their standing in the history of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Well, all of this rich Le Man's legacy wouldn't have been possible without the infamous Porsche 907K Longtail which was the first Porsche to win a 24-hour Le Man back in 1968 driven by Vic Elford, Jo Siffert, Hans Herrmann, Jochen Neerpasch, and Rolf Stommelen.

If there's Porsche legacy it's most likely to have Jerry Seinfeld's name attached to it. Back in 2014, Gooding & Company sold the 1968 Le Man-winning Porsche 907K Longtail to Jerry for a whopping $3.63 million. Additionally, there are only two models of this Porsche exist making it the rarest Porsche model in history. 

29. 1976 Porsche 934 Turbo RSR

The Porsche 934 was the forgotten child of the company's 911 racing lineup created back in the '70s. The only credit it got was because of the noticeable wins at the 24 Hours of Daytona and 12 Hours of Sebring three times each. The car was heavy with 2,470 lbs dry weight and to make it faster, Porsche embarked on a modification journey on 31 units of its models.   

Modified by Mr. Wolfgang Berger, the 1976 Porsche 934 Turbo RSR became a snarling monster on the track. Applied aluminum roll cage and front strut X-brace were just starters while the existing engine was fitted with a bigger turbo, 16" BBS wheels, Bosch K-Jetronic injection from the 930, etc resulting in a menacing Porsche racing demon that Seinfeld bought back in 2018. He even posted a picture of his 934 Turbo RSR saying, “Just arrived in US. 1 of 31. So excited".

28. 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster Type 991.2

Creating history is nothing new for Porsche but the German automaker company took it a step further by creating one of its old Porsche model's modern-take. It was in the late '50s when Porsche introduced their enraging roadsters and with only 2,922 units, the 1959 356A Convertible D became a cult in the automotive market. All of that history took a turn in 2019 when Porsche decided to make only 2 customized speedster models over the Type 991 influence as a request from Ferry Porsche and Jerry Seinfeld.

Seinfeld's 911 Speedster Type 991.2 model comes with a GT Silver exterior paint job while the 502-hp 4.0L Flat-6 powerplant delivers a menacing 9,000-rpm redline. On the other hand, the bodywork of the 911 Porsche features a lowered windshield, soft top, and rear tonneau cover provoking the original 356-based Speedster models.

27. 2016 Porsche 911 R

There is no denying that famous comedian Jerry Seinfeld has an unprecedented collection of Porsche memorabilia and the next one on this list is a modern-day road-legal sports car - a 2016 Porsche 911 R. Just after five years of owing this mean machine, Jerry put his 1,500 mile 911 R up for grab which could go up to $330K in price. 

Seinfeld’s 911 R was a model from Stuttgart Marque’s “Special Wishes” program and to make it more interesting Jerry fitted the car with $250K worth of custom flares and several optional packages. The car has an axle lift system, carbon-ceramic brakes, the Sport Chrono package, a 23-gallon extended-range fuel tank, etc which results in a sticker price of $450K. 

26. 1999 Porsche 911 Classic Club Coupe

Jerry Seinfeld's Porsche collection has been fascinating countless automobile enthusiasts from all over the world and to make it more interesting, the comedian purchased the most expensive 996 generation Porsche ever sold. Back in 2023 at the Broad Arrow Auctions, an automotive consultant Ray Shaffer revealed the news of Jerry buying a restomod 1999 Porsche 911 Classic Club Coupe model for a whopping $1.2 million. 

Seinfeld's 911 Classic Club Coupe was built around the influence of the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 with a ton of modifications. The engine is taken from an early gen 911 GT3 putting out 381 hp in total. Other additions like the Sport Grey Metallic color with a double dome roof, Fuchs alloy wheels, Alcantara headliner, and many more create a restomod Porsche masterpiece that perfectly fits Seinfeld's Porsche collection. 

25. 1949 Porsche 356 Gmünd Coupe

Jerry owns two 356 Gmund Coupe models but the 1949 model is a special one considering it was made with mostly Volkswagen auto parts and it took two years for the model to be finished. The Chassis no. 40 hand-hammered aluminum body Porsche was made in the Austrian town of Gmund resulting in the model's name being the Gmund Coupe. Talking about this model, Jerry once said, “…I love it because, to me, it looks like a little alien flying saucer…”

Besides his 1949 Gmund Coupe, Jerry took his no. 46 1951 Porsche 356 SL Gmund Coupe to Jay Leno's Garage back in 2016. Unlike the 49 model year, this car had a front-fitted engine making it a powerful yet unstable racing car that was used back in the day. On the other hand, the 1949 Gmund had a rear-engine and rear-wheel drive establishing its superior on-road handling prowess. 

24. 1966 Porsche 356C SC Dutch Polizei

One of the most ultra-rare Porsche cars in Seinfeld's collection is the 1966 Porsche 356C SC Dutch Polizei. Back in the mid-'60s, Porsche made 10 cars for the Dutch Police force making robbery or any getaway crime almost impossible. The Dutch Polizie were well-trained and well-versed with the 356 SC model resulting in high-speed police chases a cakewalk for law enforcement. 

Jerry showed off his 356 SC Dutch Polizie back in 2012 when he picked Barry Marder as a special guest for an episode of “Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee”. 

23. 2012 Porsche 997 GT3 Cup 4.0 Brumos Commemorative Edition

Jerry Seinfeld’s Porsche collection has several track-ready Porsche variants and a few of them are extremely rare considering the low production rate and distinctly tuned racing components. Seinfeld’s 2012 Porsche 997 GT3 Cup 4.0 Brumos Commemorative Edition is a special one among them.

Jerry’s 2012 Porsche 997 GT3 Cup 4.0 Brumos Commemorative Edition was a tribute model to pay homage to Porsche’s 2011 Championship-Winning Grand-Am Car. There were 5 models built and Jerry bought one of them which he later sold to Gooding & Company for $462K. The car is in great condition and has only less than two hours of track use.

22. 2000 Porsche Carrera GT Prototype

Porsche has been around as long as the Ferrari but the car that revolutionized the modern-day Porsche supercars is the Carrera GT. Seinfeld’s Porsche collection is home to one of two Porsche Carrera GT prototype models built in 2000. He bought it back in 2007 from Porsche and after 9 years he tried to sell it in Gooding & Company auction but failed.

Being a 2000 model-year prototype, Seinfeld’s Carrera GT was test-driven by Walter Röhrl before showing it off to the world. The prototype is a hand-built, bespoke model where the powertrain used is from the Canceled Porsche LMP 2000 Racing Car.

21. 2011 Porsche 997 Speedster

Limited edition Porsche models were always the crown jewel among collectors for a long time and Seinfeld’s 2011 Porsche 997 Speedster is an exclusive example of it. Produced for only 356 units worldwide, Jerry’s Porsche 997 Speedster managed to secure a whopping $440K at the Gooding & Company Amelia auction.

Jerry Seinfeld built customized his 997 with all the optional fittings and packages that were available at the time making the car a highly collectible piece. He fitted the car with Porsche Exclusive DZM and DZP Packages and less than 5,000 miles on its tires makes the car a gamble worth spending.

20. 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera Speedster

The 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera Speedster was an immaculate and timeless piece in Jerry Seinfeld’s Porsche collection. Jerry bought the car back in 2013 which had around 3,300 miles on it. The car had two services done back in 2014 and 2016 at Beverly Hills Porsche before getting auctioned for $363,000.

Seinfeld’s Porsche 911 Carrera Speedster has cultivated only about 4,300 miles in its 35-year old life span and had to be under $25K worth of service and work back in 2020 at Hendrick Porsche in North Carolina.

19. 1969 Porsche 917K Kurzheck

Jerry Seinfeld and his Porsche collection is one deep ocean where history, heritage, culture, and legacy collide. An example of it in Jerry’s Porche collection is his original Steve McQueen’s 1969 Porsche 917K Kurzheck featured in the infamous Le Mans movie in 1971.

Seinfeld’s 917K Kurzheck changed 5 owners before getting into Seinfeld’s possession. The car with chassis number 022 started its journey from Solar production in 1970 and ended up in Seinfeld’s Porsche collection back in 2000. Jerry bought the car from the RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction for a record-breaking $1.32 million.

18. 1988 Porsche 959 Sport

Porsche’s origin of modern-day car design began with the 959 model and based on its high-performance aerodynamic output, today’s Porsche models are racing new heights more than ever. Seinfeld and his Porsche collection feature this highly collectible and rare Porsche masterpiece that the Porsche factory in Stuttgart, Germany manufactured.

The 1988 Porsche 959 Sport was also one of the available cars back in the day where they can easily touch the 200 mph mark easily for a production-based race car. The 959 model was made for only 29 units making Jerry’s Porsche 959 an exclusive Porsche vintage. Additionally, Jerry owns a 1986 Porsche 959 as well.

17. 1953 Porsche 550 Prototype

Before the legendary Porsche RS Spyder came out in 1954, there were two prototype 550 models that experimented with removable hardtops making the roadster into a sleek and stylish coupe. Jerry Seinfeld restored his 550 prototype by Cavaglieri Restorations and shop owner Joey Cavaglieri mentioned the difficulties he faced when restoring the original aluminum body.

Jerry took out his 550 prototype for the first time back in 2011 after a long restoration of 5 years and raced at the 2011 Porsche Race Car Classic. The car was even displayed at Quail Lodge in Carmel-by-the-sea, California after the race.

16. 1960 Porsche 356B Carrera GTL Abarth

One of the most talked about Porsche models in Seinfeld’s car collection is the 1960 Porsche 356B Carrera GTL Abarth. Originally designed by Carlo Abarth, the 356B Carrera GTL Abarth was one of the most recognizable racing cars made by Porsche back in the ’60s.

Seinfeld’s Porsche collection has one of the original factory-made 356B units out of 20 models ever made and it crosses the $3 million price tag quite easily.

15. 1966 Porsche 911

The 1966 Porsche 911 first came out as a 901 model but considering the clash with Peugeot's trademark numbering system it was changed to 911. Porsche even put up advertisements for the 1966 911 model offering test drives and a hands-on experience for the people back in the '60s.

Seinfeld's 1966 Porsche 911 went to the Gooding Amelia Auction fully restored with the original Beige color scheme and secured $275,000. In an interview during the auction, Jerry described this 911 Porsche as "pure car heaven".

14. 1958 Porsche 597 Jagdwagen

Back in the '50s when the German army was expanded and on the verge of needing a transport vehicle, Porsche came up with their example of a new support military vehicle - the 1958 Porsche 597 Jagdwagen. The car exceeded expectations and even passed the testing requirements with flying colors.

Porsche built only 71 units of the Jagdwagen and 1 of 15 of them was in Jerry Seinfeld's Porsche collection. Being the only jeep ever built by the German automaker company, when Seinfeld's Jagdwagen hit the Gooding Amelia Auction it racked up a whopping $330,000 selling price.

13. 1957 Porsche 356 A Speedster

One of the most controversial cars in Jerry Seinfeld's car collection is his 1957 Porsche 356 A Speedster. Jerry bought the car back in 2015 paying a much higher price than usual considering it had some restoration due and the paint was crooked. Later that year Seinfeld did all the restoration needed and made it a pristine Porsche sports model.

The Porsche 356 A Speedster was even on Jay Leno's Garage show where Jerry and Leno talked about the car alongside his other 2 Porsche models featured in the show. Jerry stated "...This little car is the essence of sports car perfection to me. A graceful, aerodynamic, efficient, small car... "

12. 1963 Porsche 356 B 2000 GS/GT Carrera 2 Coupe

Jerry Seinfeld's 1963 Porsche 356 B 2000 GS/GT Carrera 2 Coupe is not as extraordinary as his other Porsche models but is the finest form of the Porsche 356 variant. The car uses a Type 587/2 developed engine with greater power output and lightweight aluminum body panels with high-performance components making it perfect for competitive track use.

The car has a top speed of 130 mph with a 0-60 sprint capacity within just 8 seconds representing the epitome of "the ultimate development of the 356 range". Back in 2016 at the Gooding Amelia Auction, Jerry's Porsche 356 B 2000 GS/GT Carrera 2 Coupe was sold for $825,000.

11. 1997 Porsche 993 Cup 3.8 RSR

Seinfeld's 1997 Porsche 993 Cup 3.8 RSR is a distinctive model built for endurance racing. The car was based on the 911 sports model and was specially built for a dealer in the Japanese market. However, the car was never used for racing which doesn't question its racing nature.

Jerry Seinfeld bought the car back in 2015 and shipped it to the US shore. However, just after a year, Jerry put the car on auction along with his other 15 Porsche models and 2 VW cars. The 1997 Porsche 993 Cup 3.8 RSR was sold for $935,000 which is a good deal considering the Porsche had only around 3,700 miles on the odometer.

10. 1994 Porsche 964 Turbo S Flachbau:

Among the most valued Porsche cars of Jerry Seinfeld, the 1994 Porsche 964 Turbo S Flachbau is a special one. This model was among the Porsche cars he sold to make additional space for more cars, and it fetched a price of $1,017,000 million. Jerry’s car was finished in silver exterior paint. It is said that before Jerry, the original owner of the 1994 Porsche 964 was a doctor from Florida.

The Flachbau in the name means ‘flat nose’. The United States received 39 Flachbau models, all of which got the same Silver paint job. The car owned by Jerry initially came out in 1993 as a regular Turbo S model, and the Flachbau variants were made by Porsche Exclusiv when around 90 chassis were left. The flat nose build was a chargeable option on the base model and had the code name X85 for the United States.

9. 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder:

The Porsche 918 Spyder was bought by the comedian for a price of $845,000, and it was finished in the Navy Blue exterior paint job and comes equipped with the optional Weissach Package (an $84,000 weight-saving option that improved aerodynamics as well). He has been snapped cruising in the car several times and was first spotted in the Malibu Country Mart parking space, along with a passenger.

The 918 Spyder was limited to 918 units, and other famous personalities like LeBron James, Mark Webber, Horacio Pagani, and Lindsay Fox, whose 918 is a part of Fox's Porsche Sapphire Collection of cars. This model was the second plug-in hybrid car from the German carmaker that had a 0-62 time of 2.6 seconds and recorded a top speed of 214 mph. Its electric setup offered a range of 12 miles from the 6.8 kWh Li-ion battery pack. 

8. 1958 Porsche 356 A 1500 GS/GT Carrera Speedster:

One of the iconic and very desired Porsche 356 series cars for collectors was once owned by Jerry Seinfeld. This was the 1958 Porsche 356 A 1500 GS/GT Carrera Speedster, a car of which around 56 units were made in total. Jerry sold the car for a sum of $1,540,000 when he sold a part of his Porsche cars. The car owned by him was finished in the Auratium Green exterior color. The GT in the name stands for Gran Turismo.

However, the company that purchased the car, Fica Frio, raised questions about its authenticity and filed a lawsuit against him for selling a counterfeit car. Later on, after years, in 2019, the lawsuit was settled by Seinfeld as he also claimed to have been duped by the car seller who sold him the car: European Collectibles. However, the terms of the settlement were not revealed. It is said that only one 1958 Porsche 356 A 1500 GS/GT Carrera Speedster was finished in that color, which is what makes it so rare and valuable.

7. 1990 Porsche 962C:

The 962C was a racing sports car that took part in the European Group C formula racing, which was specific to sports car racing only. Jerry sold this car for a sum of $1,650,000, which was completely restored and came finished in a white exterior paint. An important fact about Jerry’s car was that before him, it had only one owner, in the form of the sports car racing team Joest Racing.

When it was used by Joest Racing, Bob Wollek, Frank Jelinski, John Winter, and Bernd Schneider were some of the drivers who raced the car. The vehicle was restored in 2001, and it featured the Doppelflügel rear spoiler setup as well. As a racing car, this vehicle featured ventilated disc brakes on all four wheels used an independent suspension setup with shock absorbers, and also got Bosch Motronic fuel injection.

6. 1964 Porsche 911:

The 1964 Porsche 911 was one of the cars Jerry did not put up for sale. It is said that the car was bought by Jerry for a price of $400,000, after which he spent another $250,000 to restore it to its original form. The restoration took place in Germany, at the Porsche factory in Zuffenhausen with authentic Porsche 1964 911 parts. It is said that after restoration, the car got a grey finish for its exterior.

Recently, one 1964 911 was auctioned at a price of $1.76 million. What makes this model year of the 911 so special is that it was when the legacy started. Also, the car was made for Ferry Porsche, the son of Porsche’s founder. As a result, it was equipped with a sunroof, got metallic paint, and also featured leather seats. When released, the 911 was available only as a coupe model. The Targa top was introduced in 1966, whereas the convertible joined the lineup in 1982.

5. 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 IROC RSR:

The 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 IROC RSR is one of Jerry’s prized Porsche cars and was auctioned for a sum of $2,310,000 back in 2016. The auction was headed by Gooding and Co., and at the same time the 1958 Porsche 356 A 1500 GS/GT Carrera Speedster, and the 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder were auctioned as well. The RSR was a racecar that was raced by Peter Revson at the Penske International Race of Champions.

Porsche made only 15 RSR IROC models in total. The car owned by Jerry has the chassis number 911-460-0016, and its engine number is 6840034. Apart from Revson, Johncock, Follmer, Minter, and Forbes-Robinson also raced with the car. The restoration of the car was done by Jim Torres in its original Light Yellow livery. Fun fact: Another Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 IROC RSR was also once owned by the infamous druglord Pablo Escobar

4. 1959 Porsche 718 RSK Spyder:

The 1959 Porsche 718 RSK is one of the most beloved cars of jerry, and we cannot think of the possible pain he would have had when he decided to part with it. The car was auctioned for a sum of $2,860,000. It came finished with a silver exterior and had the racing number 19 written on it. Jerry used the car to pick up Kevin Hart for his Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, as he felt the car and Hart had three things in common.

The RSK in the name signified something. The RS in Porsche Terms stands for RennSport, which means Sport racing and the K stands for the K-shaped torsion bar suspension it used. It is said that Seinfeld’s car has a chassis number 718-019, and the number plate reads “1959RSK”. The car is the 19th model that Porsche built, and it might have been made for the 1960 racing season, as it featured the 1.6L engine and not the 1.5L flat-4.

3. 1973 Porsche 917/30 Can-Am Spyder:

The 1973 Porsche 917/30 Can-Am Spyder was another car that was auctioned for a price of $3.0 million. The auction saw the car sell for much less than what the estimated price was: somewhere between $5 million to $7 million. Despite fetching a much lesser value than expected, Seinfeld still decided to sell the car. Seinfeld drove the car on the track a few times but never pushed it to its complete capability.

The car was built by Porsche in partnership with the Roger Penske Racing team, and only 6 models were made. With its 5.4-liter flat-12, the 917/30 Can-Am Spyder was the most powerful road-racing Porsche ever made. The 917/30 was the final variant of the 917 model series, and it came with all-new bodywork. 2. 1970 Porsche 908/03 Targa Florio:

The 170 Porsche 908/03 model owned by Jerry was the one that won the Targa Florio race. The American comedian has not sold the car yet. The estimated auction value for the original car and chassis combo stands at $3.6 million today. The car features two large orange arrows on its exterior and has the racing number roundel with the number ‘12’ right in the center, and the color combination is called “Gulf colors”.

This race car was developed by project manager Manfred Bantle. The 908/03 in Jerry’s collection has the chassis number 008. It was driven by Jo Siffert and Brian Redman for the Targa Race. The racecar had the perfect 45-55 weight distribution and was extremely lightweight at 1,100 lbs. Jerry Seinfeld has described the car as his “most treasured possession”, and that explains why it did not go under the hammer.

1. 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder:

The most valuable Porsche that Jerry Seinfeld owned was the 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder. This car fetched $5,335,000, the most for all his Porsches when it was put up for auction alongside the 15 other Porsche cars. The 550 Spyder was auctioned by Gooding and Co. at the Amelia Island sale in 2016, and it laid the foundations for a world record auction price for the 550 Spyder. Sometime later, in 2018, a 1958 550A Spyder model went under the hammer for $5,170,000.

What makes the car so special is that it was the purpose-built race car that dominated the 1.5L race class. Because of its wins, the car was nicknamed “the giant killer”. The car that Jerry sold bore the chassis number 550-0060 and had the engine number 90-063. Apart from Seinfeld, this specific car was owned by collectors Lou Hilton, and Joel Horvitz. In total, Porsche built 90 cars under the 550 tag.
