NBA legend Michael Jordan’s son Marcus Jordan had been arrested by the police in Florida on the charges of DUI and Cocaine Possession.

The news had brought Marcus back to infamy as netizens talk about his troubled history while also accusing him of tainting his father’s legacy.

Lamborghini on the rails

CBS News reported that Jordan had fled from the police in his blue Lamborghini Urus after noticing a traffic stop near Orlando, Florida. As per the police report, 10 minutes after fleeing from the stop, the SUV was found to be stuck on a railroad track in Maitland.

On further investigation, Jordan was found to be behind the wheel. Jordan was quick to boast about his dad as he told the police “Bro, I’m Marcus Jordan. I’m Michael Jordan’s son,” once he stepped out of the car. He further insisted that he hadn’t done anything wrong and was just trying to return home but made a wrong turn.

At the time of arrest, the police noted signs of Jordan being under the influence. The report states that Jordan smelled of booze, had red eyes, and slurred speech. Jordan admitted that he had drunk at a nearby club but insisted that it was under the legal limit.

After failing several field sobriety tests, it was declared that Jordan was under the influence. To make matters worse, on further inspection, the police found a bag in his pocket which tested positive for cocaine. Jordan was arrested and taken to the Orange County Jail where he was later released on a $4,000 bail.

Troubled Past

This isn’t the first time Marcus Jordan has made the news for the wrong reasons. In 2012, Jordan had an altercation with two women in a hotel in Omaha, Nebraska which led to an arrest under the charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Jordan’s connection with drugs also isn’t a surprise. In August 2024, photos surfaced online that showed Jordan was snorting a white substance, although nothing was confirmed.
